About the clip: I was only allowed a 10 second intro followed by a 90 second bit. I chose to talk about my 11-year old son Ethan and his brush with bullying at school. It's really heart breaking for a parent to hear that their child was a victim— nay— survivor  of bullying. Some how I ended up ripping on the Greatest Generation.

PHRT System

The Programable, Hybrid, Recordable, Toggle or PHRT (pronounced fart) is a button installed on your car's dashboard that can be programed to execute a sequence of functions that you decided. For example, if someone passes gas, the PHRT system can be programed to roll down the windows, open the vents, turn down the temperature and turn up the fan, all with one push of one button. Hit the button again and the environment is brought back to it's original temperature. It could even be programed to play a sequence of audio files to enhance the experience. Drive-in theaters: A slice of Americana

As promised, we went to the Cascade Drive-in theater in West Chicago on Saturday night. Good times were had by all. Unfortunately the double feature was not so great. Ethan and I talk about "Cars 2" and "Super 8". I really wanted to like the later but we just couldn't close the deal with J.J. Abrams. We also talk about what we're going to do for the fourth of July, paintball or marching in the Elgin parade with the rest of the Cub Scouts.

Harry Potter and Kick Ass

Ethan and I are are back from a three-day Cub Scout day camp. Listen to us try to talk about more "kid appropriate" films. I talk about my favorite Cub Scout and Ethan talks about getting shot in the chest by who else? Me. What would be our super hero crime fighting powers? Ethan explains and I explain about the power of flatulence. Also, there's an especially emotional part of "HP: Goblet of Fire" that always makes me cry.

Zombie movies and gun safety

Award winning journalist, Chris Soprych and his son Ethan talk about zombie movies and gun safety.
What's your zombie emergency plan? Ethan lays it out and I'm there to point out the flaws. We talk about some of the best zombies movies including: Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead and mockumentary American Zombie. You can't talk about bout zombies without talking about gun safety. Always treat a gun like it's loaded and never point it at anything you don't want to destroy, i.e. a beloved pet or your sister. Dad's there to give kids some rock-solid advice on not getting shot and killed by your friends. Guns are not toys.
